abc Therapeutics provides a supportive environment for children to develop emotional regulation, practice friendship skills, learn social problem solving, and develop prosocial behaviors in individual therapy and in group sessions. Children are instructed in a curriculum of cooperative teamwork and mutual respect that they can generalize to home and school settings.

Our Focus on Friendships! social skills group is facilitated by an occupational therapist. Children who have disabilities invite friends to engage in activities less often, go places with friends less frequently, go to sports events less often, and engage in fewer extracurricular activities than their peers. Sometimes this difference persists into young adulthood. Our program is designed to help address these concerns.
